Health Benefits of Hey 30’s

It’s no secret that an active lifestyle and regular exercise can help keep us healthy, regardless of our age. An adequate nutrition intake is vital to gain the full benefits from an active lifestyle. Essential nutrients are best sourced from a healthy, balanced diet which includes a wide variety of whole foods. A variety of foods helps reduce the risk of us missing out on essential nutrients. However, often we can benefit from a ‘top-up’ when we struggle to get enough nutrients from food alone or have elevated needs.

Hey 30’s is designed for active people, who want to get the most out of their exercise regimen and maintain their health and wellbeing. With this goal in mind, Hey 30’s builds on the nutrition foundations of pea and hemp protein and is fortified with a range of essential nutrients including vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre. Hey 30’s is a unique formulation with the following hero ingredients:

Protein

After we turn 30, muscle mass decreases by about 3-8% per decade. (1) Not only can less muscle lead to less strength, but fat mass can also progressively increase  which leads to a change in overall body composition and metabolism. (1) Fortunately, even our aging muscle remains responsible to activities such as strength training which can promote increases in mass and strength. (2) To get the full potential from strength training adequate protein is essential to assist with muscle growth and recovery. Protein is found in foods including meat, chicken, dairy and eggs as well as plant-based sources such as legumes and soy products. Hey 30’s contains 23.8g plant-based (pea and hemp) protein per serve and is an enjoyable way to get a post-workout recovery boost.

Hyaluronic Acid

In addition to range of essential nutrients, Hey 30’s contains a vegan source of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the body and found in the largest amounts in the skin, connective tissue and eyes. Adequate amounts of hyaluronic acid are required to keep moisture in the skin and tissues well-lubricated. (3) Hyaluronic acid in our body naturally decreases as we age and is also negatively impacted by UV exposure, smoke and pollution. Hyaluronic acid is best known for optimising the appearance of skin and helping make it look smoother. (4)

Collagen

Collagen is a type of protein found in our skin, bones and joints. It helps provide structure to tissues and gives our skin a plump appearance. Similar to hyaluronic acid, aging has a detrimental impact and leads to a decline in elastic and collagen fibres. This can result in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. (5) Nutrients such as Vitamin C can help promote collagen production and Hey 30’s also contains 5g of marine collagen in every serve.
Hey 30’s is best enjoyed pre or post workout give you a boost of essential nutrients so that you can reap the benefits from your physical training!
